We specialize in finding the perfect violin, viola or cello for you or your child and stock all sizes from 1/16 to full size instruments. Our instruments are hand-selected from various workshops around the world so that you may choose the exact instrument that fits your needs. Rent or Buy. No long term contract or deposit required. Basic 1/16 size violin outfits, including instrument, bow, case and rosin start at an introductory rate of $9.99 per month, as well as professional quality instruments made to European standards, handcrafted by master luthiers. For very young, yet advanced students, we have a special collection of 150 year old 1/8 - 3/4 size antique French and German violins which can be rented. Few other shops offer rentals of such rare violins. We can help you decide which instrument is right for you by phone and arrange free delivery in Manhattan. Or stop by and choose the one that suits your needs and budget. Our own exclusive brand of R. AVEDIS bows and instruments are professional quality instruments, made exclusively for us, with aged European tone wood, gold and silver mounted bows made with first grade permanbuco wood. Each comes with a certificate of authenticity. We are official NYC dealers of SNOW, JAY HAIDE, JOHN CHENG, EURO, HEINRICH GILL, SCOTT CAO, RUDOLPH DOETSCH and others. See The New York Times article below about our unique shop and a special visit from violin virtuoso, Joshua Bell.

We have over 100 instruments in our collection. Try as many as as you like in our elegant showroom, surrounded by my personal collection of historical documents of the greatest string players from Paganini to Perlman. We have one of the world's largest collections of musical autographs on display, including an original copy of Leopold Mozart's treatise on violin playing from 1756.  I am a Juilliard Graduate and my 5-year old son studies at the Special Music School in New York City, and I will be very pleased to personally welcome you and assist in finding the instrument which is perfect for you.

I look forward to meeting you.
